Greensboro is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Greensboro is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across North Carolina's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I recommend the Vermicello Noodle Bowl with Grilled Pork, Shrimp, and Spring Roll. I asked for no peanuts and added a fried egg to mine. It was very delicious.

Tonight my wife and I wanted to finally try pho. We ordered it along with the shrimp egg rolls and caramelized pork spare ribs. The eggs rolls were small, and more like the traditional spring rolls you'd get at a Chinese place. They were very tasty, and went well with the clear dipping sauce they give you. I got the special beef pho and my wife got the meatball one. It wasn't her thing, but I thought it tasted great. The meat was tender and the noodles and broth had a great flavor. The caramelized pork looked, smelled, and tasted great---BUT it was very hard to eat. The ratio or meat to bone made it hard to eat, and I absolutely made a mess of myself because I had to eat with my fingers. The meat also wasn't as tender as I'd have liked. If we come back, I'll try the caramelized chicken instead, and hope it's boneless. The place was packed so service wasn't super fast, but they were very friendly and did a good job. Overall, would recommend, and hope to come back again!

This was my first visit and my first time eating Pho. The Special Beef Pho was delicious. Same for the Thai Basil Wings. Meh on the Tofu but good overall.

Pho Hien Voung is a regular for me and my Wife for incredible Vegan dishes. The food is always consistent and the staff are all great. Pad Thai with no egg, is my go to but street noodles are my #2. It's a very busy place around lunch and the staff keeps up and waiting for a seat is always reasonable. I tried an imitation chicken noodle bowl the last visit and I'm adding it my rotation!
